Here I am. Still at home. Still limited. But it’s possible in our limitedness, in our stillness, that God can speak.

No, I didn’t ask to fall down, but as I lift my head to heaven, I realize it’s all about perspective still. This time has caused me to be more thankful for having more to be grateful for than what’s wrong as I mentioned in my last post.

But it’s also given me the chance to examine my thought life and more importantly my walk with the Lord. My thoughts drift more often because I’m separated from my normal routine. More time alone. But that doesn’t mean it’s a bad thing.

Quiet time can be oh so productive! I’ve more time to pray, read my Bible, finish one Bible study and start another and examine how I can take my thoughts and turn them away from worldly things (like endless Amazan gazing or checking social media) and turn my thoughts toward Jesus.

Sometimes, with the anchored life I have of not being able to drive, I get stuck at home a lot. But that’s not a bad thing when you’re happy with where you live. Especially when I have my dog to walk and have a chance to visit with neighbors. Right now, I don’t have my dog and I’m not allowed to walk outside alone, but I can still pray for my neighbors.

I truly am blessed and hope that you will see that you are too. It’s not my endless preaching to you. It’s just that life can contain so much more joy than our hearts can possibly imagine when Christ is the center. Take a deep breath, enjoy the love of God and then move on with your busy day. Mine will be busy again soon, but I will enjoy my “stay here” time instead of complaining about it. Until next time!

Psalm 62:5 – Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him.
